APPEAL

To all Somerset CAMRA members What?Pub relies on CAMRA members to ensure that the details held on the What?ub site are complete and kept up to date. The content of What?Pub has been populated by CAMRA volunteers surveying pubs and reporting their findings. As a Somerset Branch member we would like to enlist your help by submitting entries to the site. All you have to do is log in using your membership number and password and search for the pub/club that you wish to update. Once you have found the correct page for the pub/club then click the “Submit Updates” button, complete the items that you would like to see updated and then click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. This will send an email to David Dean our branch Whatpub? editor who will then update the site. When undertaking a survey, then by all means involve the licensee or bar staff and let them know that this will provide free publicity for the pub. Always try to provide key information such as opening hours, whether it serves real ale, which ales are served if they do not change or the number of guest ales if they are rotated. In addition do not forget to mention how the ales are dispensed. Finally a brief description of the pub or club is a key item of information and if possible a photo of the premises would be most welcome. There are a large number of pubs in the Somerset Branch with only minimal details and your help in getting the site up to date would be greatly appreciated.
