There will also be wassailing at Carhampton in West Somerset.

Wassailing is a winter tradition that involves singing, dancing, and drinking to wish good health and a good harvest in the coming year.

Origin: The word "wassail" comes from the Old Norse ves heill, which means "be in good health" or "be fortunate".

When it happens: Wassailing is traditionally celebrated on Twelfth Night, which is January 5th. However, modern wassailing events are often held between late December and February.
