Glastonbury Real Ale Social Evening 16th October
One of our Glastonbury members, Tim Nickolls, is organising an informal social for real ale fans in Glastonbury on Wednesday 16th October 2024. This will commence at the Good Beer Guide-listed George & Pilgrims at 8.00pm, moving on to the nearby Crown Hotel around 9.15pm. If you would like to attend, Tim would be delighted to see you. For further information, he can be contacted at moc.kooltuo@sllokcin.mit.
The George Hotel and Pilgrims' Inn in Glastonbury, Somerset, England, was built in the late 15th century to accommodate visitors to Glastonbury Abbey. It has been designated as a Grade I listed building. It is claimed to be the oldest purpose built public house in the South West of England. See https://www.georgeandpilgrims.com/.
The Crown Hotel overlooks the Market Place in the very heart of Glastonbury. Built as a coaching inn in the 18th century, it underwent a refurbishment in 2020 and now offers eight stylish and unique ensuite bedrooms, a large bar/restaurant on the ground floor, an intimate second bar upstairs and pavement seating in front of the building.
